The Arthur Britton Trophy was presented to Garrats Hay Barracks by Mrs Joy Britton in September 1965 in memory of her husband who had a long history and association with the unit which was the predecessor to DSSS, Bletchley TDW and now SIGINT Wing at Chicksands.  The trophy is awarded annually to the student who demonstrates outstanding all round qualities by combining excellence of performance in trade training coupled with an exemplary attitude towards training whilst adding a significant contribution to extracurricular life at Chicksands.

For the last 3 years, this award has been sponsored by Abacus EW Consultancy Ltd and this year, Dougie and Nile attended the Award Ceremony at Chicksands presided over by Captain Adams RN, Director of training, to present the Arthur Britton Trophy to Signaller Emma Graham, accompanied by a cheque for £150.
